Susan, your reputation preceded you... even as a dancer/ex-performer having been through the rigor of Cecchetti ballet in South Africa, coming to England and taking classes at the Cecchetti institute, everyone said "Go to Susan Handy, she's amazing." And now, years later, through different jobs and children and sometimes able to dance and sometimes not, and covid and all kinds of life changes... I am grateful to you for giving me the opportunity to still, as an older, adult dancer, experience the comfort of fluid movement, the "home" that is the barre, and the beauty that is Cecchetti ballet. I appreciate the time and effort you've put in. Piedad has been/is just an absolutely lovely teacher, and Jane has been there through thick and thin. My gratitude and best wishes to you all.   Brilliant organisation on ZOOM classes.......

I wanted to say how brilliant the organisation of the Zoom classes has been. It is so effective and efficient. I wish schools were more geared up!

Guest teacher ZOOM class: COMMERCIAL CHOREOGRPHY: I felt it was a really amazing session, and I particularly enjoyed the freestyle bit at the beginning. I would like to endorse how great the teacher was and even though it was challenging and unusual as I was the only "senior/adult" she made me very comfortable and confident I could do it. I would truly love this on a more regular basis.... it was very popular too! Thanks for arranging it.

Mrs Handy, I just wanted to drop you a line to say how wonderful the show was at the weekend, everything from the costumes to the music, lighting and ot course the dancing was absolutely fabulous. I thoroughly enjoyed both shows! I was very proud of all the girls who took part, even the ones I didn't know - what an amazing achievement to put on such a professional show and there are clearly some real stars in the making. I have written to you before about Miss Marie's support to me but she continues to be a hugely positive influence on my daughter Eleanor (pre-primary class at Sythwood). Eleanor has (for some reason) had a real crisis of confidence since September and has been struggling to settle in classes. Miss Marie has been so patient and encouraging and Eleanor adores her! Through this trust and extra specia support Miss Marie has provided, Eleanor was on stage yesterday - at only aged 3! I was totally blown away and never thought it possible. To say I was a very proud Mummy is probably the under statement of the year! Seeing the talent of the older girls was really inspiring I'm sure for Eleanor, she has talked fondly of the girls she was paired with including Millie. She also talks fondly of Miss Rosie and Miss Georgia who have also been very patient with the little ones. I know Miss Marie wasn't there to see the benefits of all her hard work but it is a testament to her that the Nutcracker performances were so outstanding.

  The girls cant wait to do another....

I must say what a WONDERFUL show it was on Sunday, we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The standard was so much higher than I was expecting, every dance was lovely (even the ones without our girls in!) and it was just the right mix and length - absolutely LOVED IT! The girls cant wait to do another.

I wanted to say a huge well done for the show - I thought it was absolutely amazing! The best compliment I think comes from my husband. He said 'Normally I sit through these things to watch my 2 daughters and the bits they aren't in I'm really not that interested in. BUT this show I thought was fantastic and I loved every single one of the dances and the ballet and would actually happily watch it even if my daughters were not in it!' I hope you all have a relaxing and restful summer, you've earned it!

Hi Miss Sarah, I just wanted to say what an amazing day Claudia and I have had today up in London buying pointe shoes for the girls. She can’t stop smiling and as you can imagine they went straight on when we got home to show her sisters!! But not for very long and holding onto the cold radiator I promise!! It’s soo kind of you to give up your time to arrange the visit and I just wanted to let you know how much it is appreciated.

What a truly magnificent show! Congratulations to everyone involved. We loved watching all the wonderful talent and creativity. I also loved seeing how much my girls enjoyed the backstage experience, the camaraderie and the SH “family”. Thank you for everything you do for these girls.

Just wanted to say what a fabulous job you did, and always do, for the girl's ballet school. You really do work so hard to make life as easy as possible for us parents. It was a real pleasure helping all your lovely students. Also, what a friendly group of parent helpers you have in your school. Everyone was so keen to ensure that the girls were ready and able to dance their very best for both their parents and their teachers. They certainly did us all proud. Our daughter thoroughly enjoyed the experience and it was a great spectacle for the audience, regardless of who was on stage. Great fun. Just got to get her off the ceiling now! We thought the format and the intimate theatre was perfect for the production and the foyer and refreshments lent to a lovely afternoon.   Such a wonderful and amazing show...

Congratulations to all involved for putting together such a wonderful and amazing show. It was a spectacular event showcasing the talents of all the children which truly left us speechless at times especially when even the youngest children were dancing so beautifully on the stage! We would like to specially thank all involved for their hard work especially the teachers, behind the scene chaperons helping with the dressing up and taking such wonderful care of the children, the administrators, the photographers and all others involved in the show whom I have missed out! The photographs displayed were amazing and we are truly looking forward to watching it all again in the DVD. Many thanks to all of you for helping the children achieve something like this which was just in their dreams. I hope you pass our sentiments to all involved.

It was a really fantastic show ... congratulations to everyone involved. Even the teenage brothers who are not always the biggest enthusiasts of dance I would say (!) agreed is was very good!! :-)

Both shows were amazing! A big thank you to Jane, the teachers and the whole team for your endless work over the last 6 months and for keeping sane co-ordinating SO many children and costumes. The girls have enjoyed themselves so much being a part of this and the faces of pride and joy from all generations in the audience speak for themselves.
